Erin Noteboom Bow: Physicist, Poet.

Erin Noteboom Bow used to be a physicist, before some unexpected news prompted her to take a right turn in her career. With four books under her belt, she now writes for the Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics.

As someone who has experience with both sides, Erin talks about the relationship between writing and the sciences—how literature allows us to form hypotheses about the world, and how a healthy understanding of science can make good writing better.

Read Erin’s introduction to our collection of particle fictions, “Quarks: An Exegesis” online. A particle fiction piece by Erin Noteboom Bow, “Why a Bride Wears White, is also included in The Quarc Issue.
